LiveAPI provides a wrapper API that interfaces to Abelton Live using MIDI remote automation. The API can be used through Python scripting, OSC messages, or a text console. By Nathan Ramella and Rob King.

I don't understand the relationship between Abelton Live and the Python API described here.

They do have more documentation it can only be found by browsing the SVN repository. See here: http://liveapi.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/. (e.g., INSTALL.txt, and the docs/ directory).

This project is not officially supported by Abelton. It uses MIDI to control Live similar to how a control surface would do the same.

im so newbbie at this, but as fas as i have read at many forums am so confused.. im buying a "Peavey Studiomix" so i'll try to use it with Ableton Live, is it really possible?? may i have any hope??
